Cody Stagefright Wins "I'm with the band" semi-finals!

Cody Stagefright won the semi-final round of radio station 89x's "I'm with the band" contest following voting controversy.

Cody Stagefright's fans were appalled at the various technological issues stemming from the contest's online voting portion. After a resolution was provided by the Director of Promotions for 89X's radio station the playing field at TNT's Bar was leveled. Cody Stagefright's fans came out in the masses helping the band claim victory, and advance to the next round of the contest.

On the heels of their UCLA Radio Appearance Michigan based band, Cody Stagefright, plays live this Thursday 06/25/09 among controversy with the voting for a Battle of the Bands contest involving radio station 89x.

The band are currently in the semi-finals for radio station 89x "I'm with the band contest". Despite the rules set forth in the contest, other bands are possibly using IP generators, and the contest's own Myspace page's technical difficulties, has sparked a culture of controversy set to be settled at TNT's on 6/25/2009 at 9:00 PM in Clinton Township, Michigan.

Several fans have come forward stating their vote could not be cast due to the radio station's Myspace voting site timing out. Other fans have watched their votes get cast yet not counted when directed to a computer generated tally page showcasing what bands hold certain percentages in so-called "real time". Online buzz surrounding the contest has caused outrage by fans of Cody Stagefright wondering if a demand for a recount should be due before the live semi-final performances of any bands commences.

The inability to cast votes leaves fans of Cody Stagefright a little suspect on the fairness of any local band contest. Thus,in return leaving Cody Stagefright themselves to wonder if the contest's main prize in a check for ten thousand dollars has already been written out to a winner. The voters who have expressed difficulties in directing their support behind Cody Stagefright are now expressing concern the contest underwriters may be turning a blind eye to the seemingly unfair tactics of other bands potentially using IP Address Generators along side the coincidental technological inconsistencies for the fan voting portion of the contest.

Thursday's "I'm with the band" contest is being considered an open media night for Cody Stagefright. It should also prove to be an interesting night for local music as talent vs. technology will face off in a true battle of the bands!
